Preschool Story Hour

Come join us Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for our Preschool Story Hour. Each week will have a different theme. Miss Michelle will read a book, do a craft, and have a snack with the group. This program is geared for 1 to 5 year olds, but all ages are welcome. We will follow the Richmond school schedule and will not meet when school is closed. Story hour is a great place to make new friends for the young and old.

Halloween Buzz

Halloween at the Library: Be sure your child’s trick or treat bucket is large enough for a new book. Watch for more information as Halloween gets closer.

A Nod to the New

New fiction books for adults include two titles in the Read with Jenna club: The Measure by Nikki Erlick and The Many Daughters of Afong Moy by Jamie Ford. Another new book written by Pulitzer Prize winning author Geraldine Brooks, Horse, was inspired by the true story of Lexington, a record-breaking thoroughbred horse born in 1850. These and other new books are on display on the New Fiction shelves, to the right as you enter the library’s front door.

October 2022 Book Discussion

Is the book The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde on your “someday” book list? The story has a portrait and something is odd about it, right? Take the time to shorten your someday reading list. Ten copies are available at the library for ten readers who would like to read the book and meet to discuss it on Tuesday, October 11th, at 6:30pm. Call the library to reserve your copy, 207-737-2770.
