Materials for loan include books, eBooks, audiobooks on CD, eAudiobooks, and video DVDs. Print books, audiobooks on CD, and video DVDS are borrowed at the Library for two-week periods and can be renewed. The eBooks and eAudiobooks are borrowed for three weeks; details are on the cloudLibrary description page.
Materials for use within the library include local history items, a local newspaper, and magazines.
Free library cards are available for town residents and people who work within Richmond. An out-of-town patron library card is available for an annual fee of $15.00.
Interlibrary Loan: items not available in the Library’s collection but available from other Maine libraries may be requested and borrowed for free.
Programs: Library staff organize both children’s and adult’s programs throughout the year. Watch the Home page and Calendar for event information.
Free Wi-Fi is available both inside and outside the library with the umberhine_Guest Wi-Fi network name.
Two desktop and laptop computers are available for use when the Library is open.
Public computer and printing are available. It is $.25 a page for printouts.
Photocopying in color or black and white costs $.25 a page.
Faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page.
Two public restrooms are handicap accessible. One has a wall-mounted child changing bench and a selection of disposable diapers at hand.
