Donate

The Library receives its funding from the town of Richmond, but we also do a bit of fundraising throughout the year in order to support our collection and programs. There are several ways in which you can help:

Monetary gifts can be made with cash donations into the donation jar in the Library or by check made out to the Library. All monetary gifts are accepted by the town with a vote of the select board and held in a reserve account for library use.

We have a Wish List on Amazon.com. If you would like to donate an item, please visit our Wish List and purchase an item. It will be sent to the library. Let us know and we would be happy to attach a bookplate to a book with the donor’s name or in honor of someone.

The Library welcomes books and gifts but accepts them with the understanding that it has the right to handle or dispose of them in the best interest of the library.  Materials may be added to the collection provided they meet the library’s standards of selection. If you are donating items, please make sure they are in good condition and aren’t something of an outdated or illegal format (so please, no VHS’s, tape cassettes, or copied items). The library does not appraise gifts. If the donor needs an appraisal for income tax purposes, it is the donor’s responsibility to have the appraisal made.

Thank you for your support!
